Independent Living Expansion
Benchmark’s most recent project at Brethren Village consisted of constructing nine, two-story wood framed buildings with garages. The scope of work included extensive rock excavation and blasting, all necessary underground utilities, installation of underground storm water infiltration beds, elevator towers for each building, site work, a loop road to connect to the existing community, parking, associated lawn and landscaping, site lighting and walkways.
Benchmark supported the community’s sales team through several initiatives. Because residents could customize their units, Benchmark developed and hosted the personalization and finish selection process on a website, to allow potential residents to see what their selections look like. In addition, the Benchmark team participated in update videos so residents could track the project’s progress.
Other projects completed by Benchmark for Brethren Village include:
- New cottages (2003)
- A 21-cottage expansion and affordable housing apartment (2007)
- A single cottage and six duplexes (2013)
